Head Coordinators (HeadCo's)                                                     back to top

Wayne Hwang
Class of 2009

A junior in the Biological Sciences department, Wayne hopes to become a cosmetic surgeon, which stems from his medical aspirations and fashion interests. Encouraging ethnic diversity with the Manhattan Designers’ Diversity Campaign, Wayne worked as a seasonal runway model for Donna Karen New York. So in CFS, he works with various ethnic/cultural organizations on campus to help collaborate a diversity fashion show for Stanford. This is also his third year as a CFS FoCo, since he truly enjoys guiding others through their own fashion show performances.

Dani Zhao
Class of 2009

A junior in Chemical Engineering with ambitions to attend medical school and to someday change the world, this Palo Alto native loves to have fun...when she has the time, that is. Dani is obsessed with fashion, anything ranging from urban flare to haute couture. With a passion for fashion, Dani's favorite hobby is retail therapy. Hey, a girl can never get enough dresses, denim, bags, shoes, jackets, tank tops, scarves, jewelry, sweaters, sunglasses,...you get the idea. As a second year CFS veteran, Dani is excited to see CFS branch out and connect all ethnic communities!

Nadine Ghosn
Class of 2011

Nadine is a freshman who plans on pursuing a career in the fashion industry. She plans on double majoring in Economics and International relations here at Stanford. She enjoys everything related to fashion and the media. Her favorite hobby is walking around the streets of Paris, painting, drawing, observing individual styles and exploring hidden vintage shops.

Thom Scher
Class of 2011

A freshman this year, Thom Scher is a California native. He is from Murrieta, a city about an hour North of San Diego. He is a political science major who is tentatively pre-law. Growing up in Southern California, he has always been interested in popular, modern, and urban styles. Thom is obsessed with international fashion crazes, and to quote newly established designer Gwen Stefani, he enjoys "visual grammar" because "the language of your clothing is something to encounter."

Jacqueline Chein
Class of 2009

Jacqueline is a junior majoring in International Relations and minoring in Communication who aspires to work in the industry of marketing and advertising. A San Francisco native with a passion for visual and performing art, she is now in her third year with CFS and honored to return in 2008 as a FoCo. Jacqueline is also a founding member and director for SPEACK, which is hosting CFS this year. She is proud and excited to help two innovative and influential organizations break ethnic boundaries and merge performance with philanthropy.

Anneka Gupta
Class of 2010

As a sophomore majoring in Mathematics and Computational Sciences, Anneka probably should be spending all her time trying to beat the curve. But instead she chooses to spontaneously start dance parties and laugh at jokes that aren't funny. Additionally she loves writing, traveling, shopping, dancing, and round house kicking her friends. She is so excited for her first year with CFS because she loves the idea of using fashion and diversity to help the world move towards (yes, I know this sounds cheesy) world peace.

Jocelyn Jiao
Class of 2010

As a sophomore planning on majoring in Human Biology and, in some distant future, attending medical school, Jocelyn enjoys hobbies ranging from playing piano/viola, art, and creative writing, to mentally coordinating her outfits whilst snuggling into bed at night. She and H&M have led a torrid, draining love affair for the past three years of her life--and it doesn't like look it is ending any time soon. This is her first year in CFS, and boy, is she happy to be working with a vast spectrum of fashion designers and the unbeatable group of diverse Stanford students making up the CFS Core.

Yuxin Chuah
Class of 2011

Punky Chun
Class of 2011

Punky is a freshman who is still exploring possible majors. She loves to travel and to try new foods. She is very excited to be a part CFS not only because she loves fashion, but also because she recognizes the importance of promoting cultural awareness. Enjoy the show!

Courtney Crisp
Class of 2011

A freshman with academic interests in Psychology, Art History, PoliSci, International Relations, and African Studies, Courtney does not know exactly where these diverse intellectual interests will take her but she is excited for the crazy journey that she knows will be her life and career. Born in Massachusetts, currently residing in Orange County but having lived in dozens of places in between, she has a great love for learning about other people and cultures that led her to apply for CFS this year.

Lauren Mathews
Class of 2009

A junior in Political Science, Lauren intends to acquire a masters in public administration following graduation from Stanford, in hopes of making a difference in inner cities. Growing up in Los Angeles, California, she has become acutely aware of and hugely interested in the fashion world – from designer, to stylist, to model…she loves it all! This is her third year being a part of the CFS Design CORE, which insures each and every model is beautifully and appropriately clothed. She is even more excited about this year though because the CFS has been extended to all ethnicities…making for one eclectic show!

Chloe Stier
Class of 2011

A freshman with interests in human biology and psychology, Chloe is looking to eventually make it to med school (provided she can slog through all of the chemistry along the way) and go into geriatrics. CFS is an exciting opportunity for her in that it pulls together aspects of fashion and design, a diverse group of super people, and a worthy cause. What more could she ask for?!

Dare Turner
Class of 2011

A freshman who is undecided on her future major, but hopes to significantly contribute to society in whatever field she decides to study. Coming from a multi-racial background, Darienne feels passionate about spreading knowledge about different ethnic groups and world-conscious organizations like "Doctors Without Borders". This is Darienne's first year working with CFS as a Design Officer.

Lleyana Jack
Class of 2010

Currently a sophomore majoring in Psychology, Lleyana enjoys social events and dance. It is no wonder that after seeing the pictures from last year’s Charity Fashion Show, she was convinced that she should be an officer. An opportunity to work with a fun event and raise money for charity? CFS sounded way too good to pass up. As publicity chair, she hopes to advertise, advertise, advertise, and help make this year’s Charity Fashion Show the best one yet!

So-Eun Park
Class of 2011

Starting with her collection of fashion magazines dating as far back as 1970s, So-Eun is passionate about immersing herself into the world of fabrics; not to mention her overflowing wardrobe of jeans, bags, hats, sweaters, halter tops, dresses, jackets...(who knows where the list might end) but she frequently accompanies her friends to their shopping for she is gifted in finding the right items perfect for each individual's figure and personality. As a freshman thinking about majoring in Psychology and Communication, So-Eun wishes to first launch her career in advertisement industry, possibly representing her favorite clothing brands, Dior or Guess. She is also currently recruiting her friends to try out for the 2008 Charity Fashion Show model try-outs and hopes that the show will be the most spectacular event Stanford community has ever seen!
