For the 2008 production, Charity Fashion Show hopes to create a diversity fashion show that includes students of all backgrounds. As CFS enters its first year with co-sponsorship from various ethnic/cultural student organizations at Stanford, this year’s theme naturally became "Fashion Without Borders." Not only does this event promote student body unity on campus, but it also encourages our mission to support this year's charity, Doctors Without Borders (MSF website). As a humanitarian, non-profit organization, MSF provides emergency medical aid in over 70 countries around the globe because they strongly believe that international healthcare is a right, not a privilege. This year, CFS plans to raise at least $5500 for MSF, money that can provide three-months' worth of medical supplies for over 10,000 displaced peoples. CFS works to break down its student ethnic borders, so that together, we can help the doctors and volunteers of MSF break down global borders.
